Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the decision-making needs of the business. Provide technical and functional support to users.
Task: Gather, analyze, design, develop, maintain, and document reports in Power BI.
- Collect and analyze the needs of business users.
- Design efficient data models (Power Query, DAX, tabular models).
- Develop interactive and visually relevant reports in Power BI.
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and updates of existing reports.
- Translate existing code from Progress 4GL to Transact-SQL to integrate business logic into data models or reports.
- Administer the Power BI platform: manage workspaces, access rights, data sources, gateways, and the report lifecycle.
- Establish and monitor best practices for BI governance (security, performance, documentation).
- Document the developments and train users if necessary.
- Collaborate with IT, Data teams, and business representatives.
- Provide interim support for other developers during their leave within a predefined framework (business continuity).
The holder of the position must:
Participate in regular meetings and exchanges in English, both written and spoken, with international counterparts.
Working with teams whose priorities and guidelines may differ from those of the hosting site.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to balance the expectations of central management with ***** realities.
Respect the rules, procedures, and constraints specific to the host site (safety, schedules, tools, etc.).
A strong ability to navigate a multicultural and matrix environment is essential.
