61 Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
61 Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
61 Define segment –specific value propositions that beat the competition
61 Develop product roadmaps that aligns with business strategy
61 Design go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
61 Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements.
61 Manage the product lifecycle
Business Development Plan:
61 Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
61 Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks.
61 Establish pricing policy
61 Develop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)
Execution- New Product Development & Launch
61 Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects.
61 Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans.
61 Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP.
61 Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
61 Exercise thought leadership.
61 Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerce.
Execution- Post Launch Product Management:
61 Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio.
61 Deliver sustained profitable growth
61 Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
61 Manage special price requests
61 Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
61 Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
Experience and Education:
61 5+ years of product management experience
61 Relevant product or industry experience desired
61 4-year technical or business degree required
61 Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferred
