Job purpose:
We are on the hunt for a sharp, detail-oriented Production Application Manager to join our dynamic team. You will play a key part of the development, implementation and optimization of digital applications supporting the manufacturing / production operations & R&D technology. This role bridges the gap between IT, production operations & R&D technology, ensuring our Smart Production platforms are robust, scalable and aligned with business goals. This role demands close collaboration with diverse departments to fully grasp their business and technical requirements and deliver top-notch digital solutions that address real business challenges and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Application Leadership: Manage and support core production applications (e.g. PIMS, LIMS, EAM, APC), ensuring high availability, performance and alignment with operational needs
2. Project Management: Lead end-to-end development and implementation of new systems and upgrades, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, integration, testing and rollout
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with operation teams including production, maintenance, and R&D technology teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions
4. System Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, data accuracy and user experience through automation, customization and integration
5. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery, support and compliance with SLAs
6. Compliance and Security: Ensure applications meet regulatory & compliance (eg. HSE) requirements and follow cybersecurity best practices
Requirements:
61 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
61 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing/production/R&D tech application support & projects in chemical / oil & gas industry
61 Proven technical skills with a strong record of supporting & delivering complex business applications, with good ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks within tight deadlines.
61 Knowledge of industry specific software (eg. PIMS, LIMS, MES, EAM, APC, Digital HSE) business application systems and integration of various applications/systems
61 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of stakeholders in the organization
61 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
61 Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess risks, identify issues, and propose appropriate solutions.
61 Experience in developing and delivering training programs or workshops.
61 Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
61 Regional working experience covering both China & APAC is essential.
