MLOps Engineer (Junior to mid-level) (project-based assignment version, minimal maintenance) Position Objective: • Deliver end-to-end MLOps solutions which could suit the business needs and meet AIAHK technical standard as a data science technical advisor and MLOps developer. • Explore and leverage the state-of-the-art machine learning techniques for a variety of problems at the intersection of machine learning. Roles and Responsibilities: • Design a MLOps solution with high performance, maintainability and reliability on top of the existing AIAHK Data Science Lab capabilities and in accordance with the user’s requirement. • Articulate the design, workflow and benefits to stakeholders. • Manage the machine learning lifecycle as follows: o Orchestrate the data flow from AIAHK Data and Analytics platform for machine learning model development, evaluation and deployment. o Provision new Azure infrastructure for the new project. o Evaluate the machine learning solution in terms of the technical viability, operational impact and costing with the data scientists. o Assess the robustness of the technical documentation, including but not limited to ensuring compliance with AI governance assessment, meeting model acceptance criteria, etc. o Perform code refactoring, build data transformation and enhance the existing CI/CD pipelines. o Design and implement the model monitor pipeline with proper metrics and triggers. • Have the opportunities to the followings: o Learn and adapt to new business domains and technologies. o Promote data culture. o Have a wide exposure as partnered with stakeholders within the AIAHK and external partners. o Challenge the status quo and propose new value-adding solutions. o Work under an agile and open-minded environment. o Work closely with the data scientists, Data Analytic teams, Architecture teams, Application teams, Information Security teams and Infrastructure operation teams for process changes. Job Requirements: Ÿ Bachelor degree or above in relevant fields (computer science, data science, engineering, statistics or related discipline). Ÿ 5+ years of relevant experience in related domains such as machine learning, data flow, DevOps, etc. Ÿ Technical skills or related skills on the following: - Excellent on using SQL, python and PySpark. - Advanced MLOps / DevOps skills - Able to understand machine learning model codes and frameworks. - Experienced in using machine learning related Azure components such as Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure Devops, Azure Container Instance, Azure Kubernetes Service, etc. - Basic provisioning knowledge using Azure Resource Management templates. - Basic networking knowledge such as firewall, Azure Virtual Network, etc. Ÿ Adequate communication skill.
