Introduction
The Marketing team is the key driver of italki’s business. Our campaigns span through online channels (social media, content, digital ads, email, blogs, publications, affiliate networks, public relations, etc). Being an internet-based business focused on a global market, it is essential that we keep growing and improving our marketing strategy by channeling fresh, innovative ideas and putting them into action.
We are looking for a passionate professional video editor who can produce our videos. As a Video Producer for italki, English is a must. Content category wise, you will take care of both in-house branding content, UGC content. You will be responsible for taking consumer-targeted video content from scripting, editing to publishing for both social and paid channels.
Responsibilities
Understand campaign video requests with target audience and key message, keep a clear count for the number of assets needed for each channel.
Review unsubtitled footage and turn them into professional script for review before editing.
Assemble collected/videographed/stock footage into a finished project that matches italki’s vision and is suitable for the need of required campaigns.
Be able to bring visual and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Edit paid ads, social media videos, documentaries, and other video marketing materials.
Support in-house Videographer on production management, when needed.
Ability to/Interests in developing video content creative and ideas suit italki branding and marketing purpose.
Designing and creating enticing motion graphics and animations in order to enhance user experience and learning.
Requirements
3+ years of professional video editing experience for production houses, media companies, or agencies.
Fluency in English and Mandarin. Can understand English footage without subtitle support, can log English subtitles and use English as a working language to communicate internally and externally.
Demonstrated experience in all aspects of video production. From pre-production (e.g. planning, storyboarding), to production (e.g. shooting, directing), and post-production (e.g. editing, motion graphics)
Experience in developing a variety of content (eg. short/longer films, interviews, technical demos, advertisement)
Artistic vision with an eye for detail, knowing how to reach an audience through visual storytelling
Extensive knowledge of one or more video and audio editing/production software (e.g Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro etc)
Knowledge of lighting, composition, and image stabilizing equipment/techniques
Knowledge of the uses, operations, and limitations of video editing systems and related equipment (preferably DaVinci Resolve Studio for color correction)
Portfolio or links to work samples to be included when applying for the position
Experience in Production Management and Organization.
