Responsibilities
Understand campaign video requests with the target audience and key message and keep a clear count of the number of assets needed for each channel.
Review unsubtitled footage and turn them into the professional script for review before editing.
Edit raw/stock footage into a finished project that matches italki’s vision and is suitable for the required campaigns.
Be able to convey campaign selling points into video concept, storyboarding, video shooting, and post-production.
Expert in camera setting and video graphing that follow the concept and plan professionally.
Good at composing visuals and sounds together to tell a cohesive story.
Video genres for italki will not be limited to Google ads, short social media videos, brand videos, or other marketing materials.
Show potential to/Interested in developing video content creation and ideas that suit italki branding and marketing purpose.
Designing and creating enticing motion graphics and animations to enhance user experience and learning.
Requirements
5+ years of professional video editing experience for production houses, media companies, or agencies.
Fluency in English and Mandarin. Can understand English footage without subtitle support, can log English subtitles, and use English as a working language to communicate internally and externally.
Demonstrated experience in all aspects of video production. From pre-production (e.g. planning, storyboarding), to production (e.g. lighting, shooting, field-directing), and post-production (e.g. editing, motion graphics, color grading, compositing with music)
Experience in developing a variety of content (eg. short/longer films, interviews, technical demos, advertisement)
Artistic vision with an eye for detail, knowing how to reach an audience through visual storytelling
A master of Adobe PR pro or FCP X, Adobe AE, can edit with basic color correction skills with PR Lumetri Color or Davinci Resolve 12+, footage stabilizing. Additionally, extensive knowledge of noise reduction on Adobe Audition, and music selection.
Knowledge of the uses, operations, and limitations of video editing systems
Portfolio or links to work samples to be included when applying for the position
Experience in Production Management and Organization.
