To be a global champion TRATON must have a presence in one of the world’s biggest commercial vehicle markets, i.e. China. The go-to-market strategy is a premium product and a B+ product, developed in China for China. The products will be produced in Scania07s production plant, our 3rd hub production footprint. This ambition requires an R&D organization that can develop, maintain and further develop the aimed product portfolio.
The speed and the quality of our strategy execution will be the most important differentiator in the coming years ahead. For that reason, we are now looking for a Axle Senior Engineer for the axle and e-axle development system within the R&D organization.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead commercial vehicle axle and axle system design and development, with focus on future technology solutions.
· Participate in the full development cycle from concept to mass production and be responsible for key components (e.g. gears, shafts, differential, axle housings, wheel end) including understanding of customers' needs, simulation in a concept phase, technical specification definition, prototype development and testing, and production introduction/support.
· Responsible for axle integration in a vehicle-level perspective, ensuring compatibility with powertrain, chassis, and the whole vehicle performance.
· Drive technical innovation to improve axle performance metrics (Efficiency/durability/lightweight/NVH/cost).
· Participate and proactively adopt a mindset of building the future axle road map as a complete system and key components.
Create technical documentation (DFMEA, Drawings, Test Specifications, BOMs) and support prototype testing, certification, and production ramp-up.
