As a member of Asia R&D team, the Design Engineer will be responsible for supplying product design in accordance with Lear (Shanghai) Auto Parts Technology Co., Ltd., Wuxi Branch Automotive quality assurance process and customer expectations within given mandate, according to agreed time schedule and specification.

The Role
Key responsibilities include the following:
61 To develop and design the product or part from the *** idea through the design process and the validation phase until the product is implemented in production.
61 Be responsible for overseeing, developing, establishing lay-out and packing models, CAD drawings for prototypes and serial production and continuously through the development process to perform tolerance- and CAE studies. To ensure that the products meet all relevant specifications and are designed for assembly under normal serial production conditions.
61 Define product special characteristics.
61 Create and release engineering BOM/part list avoiding restricted materials.
61 Release of product drawings in accordance with ECN’s.
61 Participate in product development and innovation activities.
61 Conduct product technical meetings and design reviews.
61 Participate in installation audits.
61 Participate in lessons & learned meetings.
61 Participate in cost saving activities (VAVE)
61 Train and guide new design engineers
Qualifications
83 Education:
61 Bachelor degree or above. Mechanical design, etc.

83 Work Experience:
61 More than 5 years’ experience of design in automotive industry is must; design of comfort system or automotive seat is preferred.

83 Basic Skill：
61 Excel：Text to Columns, Data Validation, Pivot Table, Formulas (e.g: IF, AND, OR, VLOOKUP, SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE).
61 Word：Basic Format Setting in "Home" Tab is must.
61 PPT：Setting of "Transitions"& "Animations" Tab.
61 Language：Can read, write, speak proficiently.
61 Others：Ability to travel.

83 Advanced Skill:
61 Executive force：Effectively complete tasks on time.
61 Logic Thinking and Conflict Management: With logic thinking skills (e.g.: classify, compare, analyse, summarize, conclude, ratiocinate, judge); with conflict management capacity (cooperation, avoidance, confliction, accommodation, compromise).
61 Communication：Can clear express self directly with communication skill.
61 Leadership：Contributing Team Member
61 Creativity：Good innovation, imagination capacity and problem solving
61 Others：Plastic Injection moulding is must, knowledge of 3-D design: Good CATIA skill is must
