Key responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining laser-based processes used in precision fabrication, semiconductor manufacturing, or materials processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optics, laser systems, and process engineering, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
80Design, develop, and optimize laser-based manufacturing processes (e.g., cutting, welding, ablation, annealing)
80Evaluate and select appropriate laser sources and optical components for specific applications
80Conduct experiments to characterize laser-material interactions and improve process efficiency
80Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance
80Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laser systems, optics alignment, and process stability
80Document process parameters, results, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
80Support equipment installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance
80Present clear verbal and written technical explanations to customers
80Help conduct technical training as needed for our customers
80Support standardization and continuous improvement of product and process
80Ensure compliance with safety standards and laser operation protocols
Qualifications
80Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physics, optics, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, laser engineering, materials engineering, optical mechanics, mechanical design, or analysis.
80Must be capable of developing laser application processes and laser equipment.
80Must be able to plan laser application process experiments, verify feasibility, and analyze results.
80Ability to analyze the root causes of problems and derive solutions.
80Deep knowledge of optics, beam delivery systems, and laser-material interaction
80Proficiency in data analysis and process optimization tools (e.g., MINITAB, MATLAB, LabVIEW, SPC)
80Understanding of mechanical drawing and automation
80Experiences in R&D or product development
80Project management skills
80Must be a team player, able to problem-solve and work constructively with customers and co-workers
80Good organizational skills, able to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines
80Fluent in Mandarin and English (Plus is Korean)
