Tasks
Development and integration of the electric powertrain system, which includes components like Highly Integrated Electric Powertrain Topology (HEAT), Combined Charging Unit (CCU) and High Voltage Battery (HVB), requiring strong CoC-support for testing/calibration of the system, failure analysis and problem management with the focus on BMW generation 5 electric powertrain system.
Key Responsibilities
Participating in the problem management process focusing on eDrive subsystem and components including failure analysis; documentation (e.g. with CAN traces and measurements); cummunication with the problem manager and CoC and tracking of the problems until the solution or the closure is confirmed
Preparation of the equipments and tools and aligement with the problem finders for trouble shooting and failure analysis of the powertrain eDrive subsystem and components
Preparation of the subsystem test platform for eDrive validation and trouble shooting according to the planning from the test manager
Defining test specification, working instruction and test set-up together with testbench team to make sure the test could finish on time
Support of the homologation test execution at assigned testbench including component/ subsystem commissioning and operation according to the defined test procedure. Integrate necessary problem analysis and solution support according to instructions of the CoC
Coordination of external test lab to run support trouble shooting on eDrive components
Qualifications
Electrical engineering, automotive engineering, control engineering or similar background (M.Sc)
Good understanding in control engineering and Matlab/Simulink
Experience in powertrain system testing and validation (test bench and vehicle)
Knowledge in Electric Powertrain System and Components
Good communication skills
Fluent in Chinese and English language
Optional: German language skills
Act independently and on one’s own initiative
Analytic working method, also during working under pressure
Willingness to travelling inside China as well as oversea
Working experience as engineer in testing, validation and function/software calibration 1-3 Years
Working experience in the automotive development for powertrain or vehicle electronics 1-3 Years
Working experience with simulation and measurement systems 1-3 Years
Optional working experience with high voltage systems like HV batteries and E-motors, electric energy converters and bus communication 1-3 Years
