Position Summary
Candidate is mainly responsible for project management of hand tools, storage and PPE products in the new product development dept. He or she needs to work closely with the Engineering team to get help of strong technical support on product design phase and take lead on project management with team. Also, the subject position needs to work with cross functional teams and communicate with US project team, suppliers, outsource QA team on daily basic. Good technical background and project management experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the project team and drive the NPD projects fulfill schedule, quality and cost requirement.
2. Communicate with OEM suppliers and manage them to achieve the new project development goal.
3. Coordinate the project team members to overcome any difficulties in project development, internal communication, and external communication.
4. Oversee the testing requirements, reverse engineering, and safety requirement.
5. Comply with all Milwaukee procedures covering new product development and design output in addition to procedures of non-engineering departments related to project flow.
6. Maintains an awareness of competitive offerings and the general business climate in the hand tools industry.
7. Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation plans.
Person Specifications
1. Degree in Engineering or Engineering Business Management
2. At least 8 years’ experience in Power tool, Hand Tools Manufacturing or similar industry for project management
3. Excellent in written and spoken English, lead communication with our oversea offices independently
4. Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills
5. Self driven. Strong ownership. Able to work effectively
6. Engineering background in mechanical with manufacturing experience will be *** considered
